∴ f(x) = 8x2 – x3

∴ f'(x) = 16x – 3x2

∴ 16x – 3x2 = 0

∴ x(16 – 3x) = 0

∴ x = 0, x = `16/3`

Now `f^('')(x)|_(x = 0)` = 16 > 0

and `f^('')(x)|_(x = 16/3) = 16 - 6 xx 16/3`

= 16 – 32

= – 16 < 0

f(x) is maximum at x = `16/3`
