Question
Is the Judgment of the International Court of Justice final? What recourse does it have for non compliance?
Solution
The Judgement of the Court is final and there is no scope for an appeal against it. The parties involved in the case are obliged to abide by it. If one of the party States fails in abiding by it the other can refer the matter to the Security Council which decides the measure to be taken against it and enforce the Judgement.
