Question

Is there a relationship between the size of an organism and its life span? Give two examples in support of your answer.

Short Note

Solution

There is no relationship between the size of an organism and its life span. For example; both Mango and Peepal tree are similar in size but a Mango tree has a much shorter life span compared to a Peepal tree. A tortoise is much smaller than an Elephant, the Tortoise lives for 80 - 120 years, while the Elephant lives for about 48 - 60 years.
