• Nilratan: A person from the town who meets Chaturbhuj on the road. He seems more interested in Chaturbhuj's cat than in doing well in school.
• Zamindar: A rich and important person in the village. He admits that Chaturbhuj is smart, but he is also interested in the cat and asks him to bring it to his house.
• Uncle Satu: Chaturbhuj’s uncle. He thinks that school has made young people arrogant and doesn't think much of Chaturbhuj's accomplishments.
• Mother: The mother of Chaturbhuj. She loves him and wants him to stay and eat, but she seems more interested in the cat than in how well her son is doing.
• Maid: Helper in Chaturbhuj's home. She tells Chaturbhuj's mother that he got home in a massive rage.
• Little Boy: There is a young child in the house who might be Chaturbhuj's younger brother or sister or a cousin. When he asks for the cat, Chaturbhuj gets even more angry.
• Aunt: Possibly related to Chaturbhuj. When Chaturbhuj kicks the cat out of anger, she tells him not to hurt it.
• Little Girl: A girl from the town who makes fun of the cat's tail when she sees it.
• Hari: This person in the village talks to the Little Girl about the cat.
• Sadhucharan: A person from the village who asks Chaturbhuj about the cat when it goes missing.
• Paran: Another villager who persistently questions Chaturbhuj about what happened to the cat.
