The following two factors were responsible for the growth of a composite culture during the Mughal period:
- The immense wealth and the unlimited power in the hands of the Mughal emperors enabled them to continue their patronage of fine arts and literature. They used their wealth and leisure to build palaces, forts, and monuments.
