Question

Money from different countries

Majeed’s father is working in U.A.E. He gets 1000 Dirham as salary. Arun’s father who is working in Sri Lanka gets 2000 Sri Lankan Rupees. Who gets more Indian rupees as salary?

Sum

Solution

Majeed’s Father’s salary = 1000 Saudi Riyal

= 1000 × 10.52

= 1000 × 10 + 1000 × 0.52

= 10000 + 520

= 10520 Rupees

Arun’s father’s salary = 2000 Sri Lankan Rupees

= 2000 × Rs 0.37

= 2000 × 37 paise

= 74000 paise

= 740 Rupees

Hence, Majeed’s father gets more Indian rupees.
