he scientist by the name of Thomas Malthus was one of the few people who influenced Darwin the most. He was an economist who had given the idea about population growth and food availability. He said that the present gowth of human population is more than what food production can sustain. This means that many people would die of starvation to level out the population. His views gave Darwin the idea about survival of the fittest.
