Let distance from ‘P’ to ‘Q’ is x km.
Time = `"Distance"/"Speed"`
A.T.Q,
⇒ 18 = `x/50 + x/40`
⇒ 18 = `(9x)/200`
∴ `x` = 400 km
Total distance in entire journey = 800 km
Total time during journey = 22 hr
Average velocity = `800/22 = 400/11` = 36.36
