Cloth to stitch a blouse = `1 3/4` m

Total length of the cloth = `2 1/2 + 1 3/4` m

= `2 + 1/2 + 1 + 3/4` m

= `(2 + 1) + (1/2 + 3/4)` m

= `3 + (2/4 + 3/4)` m

= `3 + ((2 + 3)/4)` m

= `3 + 5/4` m

= `3 + 1 1/4` m

= `3 + 1 + 1/4` m

= `4 + 1/4` m

= `4 1/4` m

Cost of cloth per metre = ₹ 120

∴ Cost of cloth for `4 1/4` m = `4 1/4 xx 120`

= `17/4 xx 120`

= 17 × 30

= ₹ 510

Cost of cloth purchased by Sankari = ₹ 510
