Solution
1)Sounds are tiny vibrations which can travel through air and other materials. The loudness of sound is measured in decibels (dB). Silence is the absence of sound. Therefore, figures in the bottom of the decibel scale are at 0 dB. There is a tie between rustling of leaves and breathing at 10 dB. The wind blowing in the trees measures 20 dB. Radio music played at home is 50–60 dB, whereas loud television is 70 dB. Road traffic noise and heavy truck traffic overlap each other at 60–90 dB and 90–100 dB, respectively. The highest decibels are recorded by powerful rock music sounds at 100 dB.
