2. Neocolonialism: The globe is witnessing a revival of colonialism in the shape of Neocolonialism. The United States' military bases outside of the United States, as well as China's Belt and Road Initiative, have been condemned for being Neocolonial in nature. NAM can assist in bringing together member nations to take collective action against this.
3. Combating Global Issues: The summit allows NAM to mobilise international public opinion against terrorism, weapons of mass destruction, nuclear proliferation, ecological imbalance, and protecting developing nations' interests in the World Trade Organisation (WTO), among other things.
