1. Biogas: Biogas refers to a gas produced by the biological breakdown of organic matter in the absence of oxygen. Biogas is a type of biofuel. The biogas is produced by anaerobic digestion or fermentation of biodegradable materials such as biomass, manure or sewage, municipal waste, green waste, and energy crops. Biogas is also called swamp, marsh, landfill gas (LFG), or digester gas.
2. Solar panels and solar cells: Solar panels, often mounted on rooftops, absorb and move rooftop heat into water circulating within the panels. Photovoltaic (solar) cells produce energy directly from sunlight, although the cost of this energy is several times what conventional (fossil) fuel-generated electricity costs.
