State two ways of taking care of carpets.

1. New carpets shed fluff for a few weeks. So, they should be lightly deaned in the initial stages of use.
2. After a few weeks, carpets should be deaned with a brush. Brushing should always be done in one direction, and the pile should be stroked so that dirt is easily removed.
3. Heavy pieces of furniture should not be dragged over the carpets because this may damage the fibres.
4. Carpets can be vacuum deaned regularly and washed or dry cleaned occasionally.
5. When not in use, they should be rolled with the right side inside and wrapped in newspaper and plastic layers with naphthalene balls.
