2) What is the total annual rainfall?

3) Presuming that the station is located in India, give a reason for its location being on the east coast or west coast of India.

Solution

1) Annual range of temperature= highest temperature-lowest temperature 36.2- 24.6 =11.6 C

2) Annual rainfall= Sum of rainfall in all twelve months. Therefore, annual rainfall is 138.8 cm.

3) The station is located on the east coast of India as it receives adequate rainfall during the winter months of November and December.
