Sugar crystals do not dissolve easily in ice cold water. Explain.
Solution
The temperature reduction reduces the kinetic energy of water. So hot water can quickly dissolve sugar crystals but it takes much more time to dissolve in room temperature water and also takes a very long period to dissolve in ice water.
