Sunil purchased juice on Monday = ${\displaystyle 12\frac{1}{2}}$ litres = ${\displaystyle \frac{25}{2}}$ litres

∴ Total quantity of juice Sunil purchased in two days = ${\displaystyle (\frac{25}{2}+\frac{59}{4})}$ litres

= ${\displaystyle (\frac{25\times 2}{2\times 2}+\frac{59}{4})}$ litres

= ${\displaystyle (\frac{50}{4}+\frac{59}{4})}$ litres  .....[∵ L.C.M. of 2 and 4 is 4]

= ${\displaystyle \left(\frac{50+59}{4}\right)}$ litres

= ${\displaystyle \frac{109}{4}}$ litres

= ${\displaystyle 27\frac{1}{4}}$ litres
