Question
"The change in packaging has resulted in waste becoming non-biodegradable." Giving two examples from daily life, justify this statement.
Solution
Waste is now non-degradable as a result of the shift in packaging. Two facts can be used to support the aforementioned claim:
- Aluminum foil's use in the packaging industry has led to significant trash accumulation that is growing daily.
- Different industries produce and employ conventional polymers for packaging purposes. Due to the non-biodegradability of these petroleum-based plastics, the environment is facing serious ecological issues, including a threat to marine life and declining air quality.
