The earth rotates 360° about its axis in about 24 hours. By how much degree will it rotate in 2 hours?
Solution
∴ Earth rotates in 24 h = 360°
∴ Earth rotates in 1 h = `360^circ/24`
∴ Earth will rotate in 2 h = `360^circ/24 xx 2` = 30°
Hence, Earth will rotate by 30° in 2 h.
