Given: Pi = 0.5 bar, P = 0.6 bar, t = lOO s

∵ k = `2.303/tlog_10  (P)/(2P_i - P)`

∴ k = `2.303/100log_10 [0.5/(2 xx 0.5 - 6)]`

= `2.303/100log_10 [0.5/0.4]`

= 2.23 × 10−3 s−1
