The LCM and HCF of two numbers are 432 and 72 respectively. If one of the numbers is 216, what is the other?
Solution
Let the other number be x.
Now, HCF × LCM = Product of two numbers
⇒ 72 × 432 = x × 216
`=> "x" = (72 xx 432)/216`
= 144
Hence, the other number is 144.
