Question

The temp. of two bodies differ by 1°C. What is the difference on the Fahrenheit scale of temperature?
Short Note
Sum

Solution

The difference in temperature of two bodies in the Celsius scale = 1oC.
We know C/100 = (F - 32)/180.
C =5/9(F- 32)
9/5C + 32 =F
F = 9/5C + 32.
So, the difference of 1o in the Celsius scale is equal to the difference of 9/5o in the Fahrenheit scale.
Thus, the Difference of 1oC of the temperature of two bodies in the Celsius scale is equal to the difference of 1.8o in the Fahrenheit scale.
