Question
The total surface area of a cube is 294cm2. Find its volume.
Solution
Given that:
T.S.A. of cube = 294cm2
i.e., 6 x l x l = 294 ...[∵ T.S.A. of cube = 6 x l2]
l2 = `(294)/(6)`
l2 = 49
l = `sqrt(49)`
= 7cm
∴ Side (l) = 7cm
∴ Volume of cube
= l x l x l
= 7 x 7 x 7
= 343cm3.
