2. Certain infections' immunogenic proteins are active when taken orally. The Immunogenic protein gene is extracted and put into an appropriate vector.
3. The recombinant vector is subsequently introduced into the plant genome.
4. When this gene is expressed in a specific area of the plant, immunogenic proteins are produced.
5. When animals or, more specifically, humans consume these plant parts, they become immunised against particular pathogens.
