Types of emulsions are as follows:
a) Oil in water in which oil is a dispersed phase and water is the dispersion medium. For example: milk is as emulsion of liquid fat dispersed in water.
b) Water in oil in which water is the dispersed phases and oil is the dispersion medium. For example: cod liver oil is an emulsion of water in oil in which water is the dispersed phase and oil is the dispersion medium.
