Question
What decision will be given in the following situation?
When the ball crosses the goalpost under the cross bar and the goal lines?
Solution
- The attacking team scores when the ball crosses the goalpost, crossbar and goal line.
- To score in hockey, the ball must pass over the goal line, between the goalposts and under the crossbar without fouling. If so, the side that scored gets the goal, and the team that lost it restarts from the centre of the field.
