Each High Court has a Chief Justice and other judges appointed by the President of India when needed. Also, the President has the authority to appoint:
- Appoint additional judges for a maximum of two years.
- When a permanent judge is absent or unable to perform their duties, an acting judge may temporarily be appointed to serve as Chief Justice.
