Question

What is the sum of the numbers between 300 and 400 such that when they are divided by 6, 12, and 16, it leaves no remainder?

Options

  • 632

  • 764

  • 720

  • 586

MCQ

Solution

720

Explanation:

L.C.M of (6, 12 and 16) = 48

So, the number divisible by '48' will also be divisible by 6, 12, and 16.

Between 300 and 400, 336 and 384 are the only two numbers which are completely divisible by 48.

So, the sum of numbers between 300 and 400 which are completely divisible by 6, 12 and 16

= 336 + 384

= 720

So, option (3) is the correct answer.
