  5. A rally was organized from Trichirapalli to Madras.
  6. More than 1200 protesters including EVR were arrested.
  7. As a result after the resignation of the Congress Ministry the then Governor of Madras removed Hindi as a compulsory subject in schools. Thus the anti-Hindi agitation became popular as it succeeds in its objective.
