With reference to the Union Parliament, answer the following questions:
How many members may be nominated to the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha? Give one reason as to why they may be nominated to the Lok Sabha.
Solution
The President may nominate two members to the Lok Sabha and 12 members to the Rajya Sabha. If the President feels that the members of the Anglo-Indian community do not have adequate representation in the House, s/he can nominate two Anglo-Indian members to the Lok Sabha.
