Solution
The Chola rulers built cities and beautiful them with majestic palaces and grand temples. The chief features of these temples are their vimanas or tower, magnificent, sculptures, pillared halls. One of the masterpieces of Chola architecture is the Brihadeswara Temple. The Cholas spent huge sums on irrigation projects viz., canals, tanks, dams and wells, Rajendra I, dug an artificial lake near his new Capital, Gangaikonda-Cholapuram. They also constructed roads which were a great boost to the economy of the land-trade, commerce, and communications.
