(You are reminded that you will be rewarded for orderly and coherent presentation of material, use of appropriate style and general accuracy of spelling, punctuation, and grammar.)
Lockdown.
Solution
A lockdown is a policy that forces people or communities to stay put in order to avoid harming themselves or others. Lockdowns that affect an area rather than specific sites are commonly referred to as "stay-at-home" or "shelter-in-place."
In the last two years, the world has gone through an exceedingly depressing period, which has altered the entire situation. In December 2019, the Corona virus made its initial appearance in the city of Wuhan, completely altering people's lives. Many individuals had perished, and many more had become ill. After local authorities imposed a rigorous lockdown, the streets of Wuhan, China, were deserted.
There was extensive travel restriction in Italy, whilst in London, normally bustling pubs, restaurants, and theatres were closed, and residents were encouraged to stay at home. Flights were being cancelled all across the world. Work from home culture evolved as a result of social alienation. People are still working remotely for some services that are inescapable.
It was all done to prevent Covid-19 from spreading since if people moved around and interacted freely, there was a potential that an infected person might spread the virus.
On the evening of March 24, 2020, the Indian government imposed a statewide lockdown for 21 days, restricting the movement of India's 138 million people as a preventive precaution against the COVID-19 pandemic. It was imposed following a 14-hour voluntary public curfew on March 22, which was followed by the implementation of a series of rules in the COVID-19-affected regions of the countries. When the number of verified positive corona virus cases in India surpassed 500, the lockdown was implemented. However, all of these modifications have resulted in a number of unintended consequences. Many businesses, industries, and transportation networks have shut down. However, it has unanticipated good consequences. People have become more sensitive to others' sentiments, and they have begun to notice numerous things that they were previously unconcerned about. It has taught people the genuine meaning of life.
However, in April 2021, some state governments, including Uttar Pradesh and Delhi, issued complete lockdowns owing to the country's greatest wave of illness. Thus, depending on the situation in the area, the lockdown was imposed on and off in numerous phases in many states and cities, which has continued to this day.
