Solution
Balkan is a region in South-Eastern Europe between the Mediterranean Sea and the Black Sea. Turkey extended her empire over the Balkans. Taking advantage of the political instability of the Turkish empire, Greece, Serbia, Bulgaria and later Montenegro tried control over it and formed the Balkan League in March 1912.
