Write a note on the contribution of Tarun Bharat Sangh for soil conservation.

Tarun Bharat Sangh (TBS) is a non-governmental organization in Rajasthan. It is currently directed by Rajendra Singh, and both the organization and Singh are best known for doing ecological research and land development to provide clean water to people.
TARUN BHARAT SANGH (TBS), started to bring people together on the issues of management of forests and water resources, water security, conservation of forests and wildlife were closely interlinked. One cannot be separated from another. Tarun Bharat Sangh triggered off the process by building Johads traditional water harvesting systems. Johads serve to recharge ground water and provide drinking water for the wildlife and cattle of the area.
Steps taken by Tarun Bharat Sangh for soil conservation:
- Afforestation.
- Study of soil and topography was done.
- Proper crop management with improved irrigation.
- Check dams were built to reduce the volume and velocity of water, thus _ even checking soil erosion.
