1. In order to lead the national movement a section of the nationalist leaders like C. R. Das and Motilal Nehru formed the Swaraj party in 1923.
2. Instead of boycotting the Assemblies there leaders wanted to oppose the British Government from within the legislature.
3. It passed the resolution demanding the establishment of a responsible Government in India.
4. After the death of C. R. Das, the Swaraj Party was dissolved.
