1. Copying from a book without citing it. Assume you are assigned to produce a report on Pandas. Instead of performing your own research or writing your own words, you copy a passage verbatim from a book about pandas without specifying where you acquired it.
2. Copying from a friend's essay assumes your friend writes an outstanding essay for class. Instead of writing your own, you ask a friend if you can copy theirs and submit it as your own work. This is also considered plagiarism because you are passing off someone else's work as your own.
