Androcles had a kind heart and was gentle and kind. He was brave because he ran away from his mean boss and went to live in the wild. When Androcles helped the hurt lion, he got over his fear to make it feel better. When he turned down a reward for himself and instead asked for the lion's freedom, his kindness and thanks really stood out.
