Solution
The breeding technique in which mutations are induced using mutagens and mutant organisms with the desired characters is known as mutational breeding. In plant breeding, this technique is employed to obtain resistant varieties of plants, e.g. moong beans to yellow mosaic virus and powdery mildew.
