1. Badminton Association of India (BAI) is the governing body for badminton in India. Based in Lucknow, BAI is an association registered under the Societies Act.
2. It was formed in 1934 and has been holding national-level tournaments in India since 1936.
3. BAI has 33 State Associations and 04 other organizations as its members that conduct badminton tournaments in the country.
4. BAI also plays an important role in coaching, developing, and scouting future talent, as well as providing opportunities for Indian athletes to participate on a worldwide scale.
5. BAI's activities have greatly benefited the growth of Indian badminton, generating world-class players and improving the country's status in the sport.
