2. Population and development are closely interrelated. In fact, all the parameters of development are measured by keeping in mind the population of a region. 
3. Quality and quantity of the population determine the development.
4. In the stage 5, of demographic transition, regions with low growth rate of population will have greater development. However, the quality of population is also equally important.
5. Additionally, if migration is high in a region, it creates pressure on resources and facilities in the recipient region, thereby affecting its development.
