Question
Write two advantages of sustainable management of natural resources. Out of the two − reuse and recycle − which is better and why ?
Solution
Following are the two advantages of sustainable management:
- It helps to conserve natural resources for future generations.
- It enables equal distribution of natural resources.
Reusing a material is better that recycling it because recycling requires a large amount of energy and money. Reuse, on the other hand, preserves the embodied energy originally used in manufacturing an item. Reuse also creates less air and water pollution than recycling.
