Solution
Equation of Y-axis is x = 0.
Equation of the line parallel to the Y-axis is x = – 4. …[Given]
∴ Distance between the Y-axis and the line x = – 4 is 0 – (- 4).
= 0 + 4
= 4 units
∴ The distance between the Y-axis and the line x = – 4 is 4 units.
