प्रश्न

A dice is thrown once. Find the probability of getting an even number or a multiple of 3.

योग

उत्तर

Sample space = {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6}

n(S) = 6

E = the event of getting an even number or a multiple of 3 = {2, 3, 4, 6}

n(E) = 4

Probability of getting an even number or a multiple of 3 = P(S)

= `(n(E))/(n(S))`

= `4/6`

= `2/3`
