प्रश्न

A fixed mass of a gas has a volume of 750 cc at—23°C and 800 mm pressure. Calculate the pressure for which its volume will be 720 cc. The temperature being - 3°C.

योग

उत्तर

V1 = 750 cc

V2 = 720 cc

T1 = - 23 + 273 = 250 K

T2 = - 3 + 273 = 270 K

P1 = 800 m

P2 = ?

Using gas equation `("P"_1"V"_1)/"T"_1 = ("P"_2"V"_2)/"T"_2`

`"P"_2 = ("P"_1"V"_1"T"_2)/("T"_1"P"_2)`

`= (800 xx 750 xx 270)/(250 xx 720)`

P2 = 900 mm
