प्रश्न

The volume of a given mass of a gas at 27°C is 100 cc. To what temperature should it be heated at the same pressure so that it will occupy a volume of 150 cc?

योग

उत्तर

V1 = 100 cc

V2 = 150 cc

T1 = 27 + 273 = 300 K

T2 = ?

`"V"_1/"T"_1 = "V"_2/"T"_2`

∴ T1V2 = V1T2

∴ `"T"_2 = ("T"_1"V"_2)/"V"_1`

∴ `"T"_2 = (150 xx 300)/100 = 450`K

∴ T2 = 450 - 273 = 177°C
