उत्तर

(a) Make sure the glass slab is

(i) Clean and free from air bubbles

(ii) The pin should be fixed in vertical postion and all pins should be placed in a straight line.

(iii) The glass slab should be perfectly rectangular with all its faces smooth

(b) The incident ray, refracted ray and normal all lie in the same plane.

(i) The incident ray and the refracted ray

(ii) are an opposite side of the normal.

Name the mirror which can give:

an erect and enlarged image of an object.

To construct ray diagram we use two light rays which are so chosen that it is easy to know their directions after reflection from the mirror. List these two rays and state the path of these rays after reflection. Use these rays to locate the image of an object placed between centre of curvature and focus of a concave mirror.
