What is casteism?

Casteism is the belief in, and adherence to the caste system. It involves separation on the basis of caste. For example, in India the Caste System constituted four major categories namely Brahmins, Khastriyas, Vaishyas and Sudras. While Brahmins were engaged in spiritual work, Khastriyas were into warfare and Vaishyas did business. Sudras were required to menial work.
