Bholi, the main character in the story "Bholi," suffers from gender bias, a disability, and an unattractive appearance. Bholi initially lacks confidence as a result of her limitations. She is quiet, fearful, and mentally frail. She cannot move forward because of the black pockmarks on her body and her stammer. She is hesitant to speak because people tease her. But going to school completely transforms her life. It gives her new hope in the world. Her teacher shows her compassion and love. Bholi is able to believe in herself thanks to her love and encouragement. She studies hard and develops into a young, self-assured woman. She is aware of her rights and actively exercises them. Her confidence grows as a result of encouragement and compassion, and she becomes capable of overcoming obstacles. She declines to wed a man who requests dowry. Bholi gains the knowledge she needs and defends her honour with the help she wants from her teacher. Her transformation into a self-assured person from a "dumb-cow," who is repressed at home and in society, is motivational.

Bholi is an inspiration to those who face similar difficulties because of her perseverance and desire to succeed despite all the odds. Her story emphasises the value of education and the ability of personal initiative to challenge societal expectations and prejudices. Bholi's tale demonstrates that, in spite of fate's indifference, one can still succeed in life by resisting repression and persistently going after their objectives.
