Primary Group

A primary group is a small, casual, and intimate collection of people who interact with one another in person, are emotionally connected, and have a sense of belonging. Strong interpersonal ties, shared beliefs, and community define the group. A family is an excellent example of a primary group since its members share goals, a common history, and a strong emotional bond.
