Briefly explain the following terms: Power of accommodation

Power of accommodation:
The ability of the eye to adjust itself and to focus objects at different distances is known as the power of accommodation. The ciliary muscles contract and make the lens thicker to view nearby objects clearly, whereas they relax and make the lens thinner to focus on distant objects.
