  1. Make a circle with the centre at O.
  2. Take any point T on in the circle, attach it to OT, and extend it to X.
  3. Take points A and B on as OT and TX, respectively, resulting in TA = AB.
  4. Draw two arcs on both sides of OX, with A as the centre and a radius greater than AT.
  5. Draw two arcs connecting the arcs generated in step (iv) with a B as centre and radius bigger than BT.
  6. Join the arcs to form the line LM, which passes through point T. The needed tangent to the circle at point T is line LM.
